INNOVATE, CREATE, PRODUCE!
Time to free your mind from what you know and INNOVATE: The price of our local production increased because of the cost of secondary materials needed such as packaging etc.. Here are some thoughts on small initiatives to reduce this cost and generate employment opportunities: a. Create a list of materials we import to support local production. b. Scan potential resources of Lebanese geographical areas and record them. Include all potential resources? Is it agriculture? What type of agriculture? How many youth does the area have? What is their status, Educated? Etc.… d. Select an area of local production, conduct brainstorming with one objective “How do we use the resources of the scanned areas to innovate our materials?” e. Don’t think how do we produce the materials we currently import, think how do we replace the materials we’re importing with new materials we can produce here. Big difference in the state of mind! f. In the case where potential innovations are discovered, a feasibility study is done to initiate a Small business in the scanned area. The study will be focused on filling the need of the production not more – keep it small. g. Once a logical feasibility is produced funding becomes viable.
